Samaritan International School supports women and poor family who cannot spend much time on childcare but hard work to earn living for their children. They need quality education for their children to get rid of poverty vicious circle. Samaritan International School has 92 nursery students (year 2017) in three different levels which are Baby Class, Middle Class, and Top Class.

Primary School Scholarship Project

Samaritan International School supports women and poor family who cannot spend much time on childcare but hard work to earn living for their children. They need quality education for their children to get rid of poverty vicious circle. Samaritan International School has 106 primary students (year 2017) in six different levels. Year 2020 every level will be filled with the number of more than 210 students.

Secondary School Scholarship Project

Scholarship of secondary students is origin of Rwanda Children's Hope project which starts in April 2008. Most students who come from poor family cannot afford to continue their education from primary to secondary although secondary education is mandatory in Rwanda. The tuition fee is more than three times than average year income of poor family in villages. Many excellent children who would have supported their community and country’s future have to give up their possibility of life at the age of 12 and 13 year-old.

University School Scholarship Project

Karangazi community needs development which is organized and managed by local people. Local people needs knowledge and confidence to lead their community. In this sense, Rwanda Children's Hope support university education. We support students who graduated with excellent performance and high motivation to help their community in their future.

School Kitchen Project

Most Students in Samaritan International School come from poor family including genocide survivors. Some family could not afford to give their children breakfast, some could not give sufficient nutrition for physical and mental development. Therefore, Samaritan International School started to provide breakfast to students in May 2017. Samaritan International School have their kitchen which was funded and constructed by Global Fund in 2016. They use the kitchen to provide breakfast to students.

Students support Students

One of the wonderful values of Rwanda Children's Hope is that students create hope for other students. Supported students feel responsibility for education of other children and community development in their community. Students help each other for writing letters to their supporters, organize school and IHCM activities, and educate other children to keep value of Rwanda Children's Hope. University students supported by Rwanda Children's Hope are the main leaders of the initiatives. Rwanda Children's Hope is authentically Rwanda Children's organization.
